ABOUT THE MINISTRY
The letters P.U.S.H. as above fills the words: -
P - Prayer U –Until S - Something H - Happens.
(Prayer Untill Something Happens)
This is an evangelistic ministry based on Intercessory Networking to prepare the church for the
great and final world revival.
The strong man must be bound (Matthew 12:29). The church is one mighty man standing in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30). It is not a disintegrated and disjointed denominational organ. We must hold
our hands together to free our land from the wicked one and enforce the reign of Christ on earth NOW (Matthew
6:9-13).
The first verse read by the Lord Jesus Christ on launching His ministry is Isaiah 61:1-4. Here is the
heartbeat of Jehova for mankind. This is the mission and vision statement of Christ who is the head of the
body, the church. Every other vision must hinge on this. But what do we see in the church today?! It is one thing for the
ship to sail in the great seas. It will face the waves and the storms but still lands safely. But it is a different thing
when the sea enters into the ship. The ship will sink.
The world has walked and entered into the church. The church now looks like the world and the world looks
"churchy." An intercourse is taking place between the church and the world (Hosea 1:2-11). But even now the voice is
coming – I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. (Matthew
16:18).
PUSH Evangelistic Mission is born out of crisis. In Africa, more people live in rural areas than urban centers. The trend of the gospel
work is concentrated around the major urban centers than rural areas. This is to target the rich and the working class who
are eventually able to support the work of God. More and more trained ministers are scrambling for a place of ministry in
the urban centers. This is to the neglect of the poor and the unemployed in the rural areas. The great commission (Mark
16:15-16 ) is therefore not fully obeyed because of
love of money.
PEM targets these
unreached rural places with the gospel of our savior Jesus Christ. The challenges of the gospel work in Kenya are overwhelming. Poverty is rampant.
85% of the rural population lives on less than $1 a day. In the Suba District where we operate, whose population is 170,000
people, 41% is HIV/AIDS positive. There are about 44,000 orphan most of whom are HIV/AIDS positive as well.
We are therefore working amongst people who need spiritual, emotional and physicals care. For this reason,
we must employ holistic approach to the work of the gospel. The one who fed 5,000 people is still alive. The one who healed
them all is still with us. We must present and represent Christ to these neglected areas.
